Lila Home for the Holidays

Ok y’all, the holidays are upon us. Our homes are about to be transformed into baking central, the friends and family gathering spot, the shop til you drop zone and the hosting hot spot. So the big question to ask yourself is, “Is your home ready for the holidays?” We at Lila HOME and Lauren Nicole Designs want to suggest a few key areas to think about:

Foyer – this is the first impression for your friends and family to see. Does your entryway reflect your style? With artwork, family pictures, properly scaled accessories and area rugs? This should be a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels finished, festive and fun.

Kitchen – Do you have what you need to host your holiday guests? To cook amazing meals? To bake scrumptious treats? And to relax with your family in a comfortably elegant space. If you have a kitchen island consider a decorative holiday tray or some tall festive angels or fun reindeer or even a chalkboard to use as a countdown until Christmas. The kitchen needs to be functional but is also a space full of surfaces to display holiday décor.

Dining Room – Most people say, ‘I only use this space a few times a year’ well this my friends is that time of year! Think about a great centerpiece, tall candlesticks on your buffet, great artwork or a mirror to decorate your walls with, and great serving pieces to enjoy your delicious meals on.

During the holidays you want to make sure that your home feels festive but also finished. At Lila HOME we want to make sure that you invest in an array of SMART pieces. Pieces that can of course be showcased during this holiday season and that are strictly for this time of year, but we also want to show you how to use pieces all year round that can be dressed up for any occasion.
