Recent Groundbreakings Suggest Stabilizing Market for Loudoun County

When new businesses and developments come to a city or state, it offers many benefits to the community and can have a wide-reaching economic impact. Big businesses that sprout in a city or state add more jobs for local residents and also establish the area as an attractive location for additional development in the future.

Several groundbreakings have recently taken place in Loudoun County, and officials are calling it a sign of a stabilizing market and increased business activity. They say that developers are now becoming more confident in the market, and the economic climate of Loudoun County has encouraged more new construction projects.

One of the recent projects in Loudoun County is the Riverside Office Park, located at 19490 Sandridge Way in Lansdowne. Riverside Office Park is expected to offer 54,000 square feet of office space, as well as condo units for lease or sale, ranging from 1,100 square feet to 18,000 square feet.

One Loudoun is another new development in the county. Already under construction at Rt.7 and Loudoun County Parkway, the new town center will feature a convenient arena for shopping, dining, working, and modern living.

Economic developments have increased with the decrease in Loudoun’s office vacancy rate. The  office vacancy rate in Loudoun County has fallen from 19.5 percent in the first quarter of 2009 to a current rate of 14.6 percent.
